BAE Systems - Navy League 2009

AN/UPX-41(C) Digital Interrogator with Mode 5

BAE Systems has been a world leader in IFF systems since the 1940s and continues that leadership with its Mode 5 capabilities and products. BAE Systems was the first IFF supplier to delivery Mode 5 capable interrogators and transponders to the DoD with the U.S. Navy being the lead service. BAE Systems has been providing IFF systems to the U.S. Navy for more than 30 years.

The Digital Interrogator family of products provides the features required in today's global military and civil air traffic control environments. BAE Systems has delivered over 600 Digital Interrogators to date.

The AN/UPX-41(C) is the latest addition to the Digital Interrogator family of products and is the U.S. Navy's standard Mode 5 interrogator. It is an upgrade to the AN/UPX-37 which replaces all the AN/APX-27 interrogators in the fleet and has also been selected by the U.S. Marines and U.S. Air Force for multiple applications. The unit meets DoD, NATO, ICAO and FAA requirements. The AN/UPX-41(C) features include a modular, digital architecture that allows customized configurations for many applications: air defense, weapon systems, air traffic control and range instrumentation.
