Low Cost Guided IR System

The LOGIR concept adds precision guidance to the Hydra 70 rocket with the addition of an infrared seeker.

BAE Systems is leveraging its development knowledge of the APKWS™ seeker for the Hydra 70 rocket with its experience in developing the Thermal Weapons Sight to develop a high caliber infrared seeker system for the 2.75 inch weapon.

The LOGIR system will be able to transmit targeting data produced by the aircraft targeting system that includes target position, size, velocity and contrast to the weapon loaded in the launcher to engage targets such as attack boats and other enemy ground based systems.
