Talisman Underwater Unmanned Vehicle

BAE Systems' Talisman Underwater Unmanned Vehicle (UUV) is a revolutionary unmanned mini-submarine. Operating in depths in excess of 150 meters, the Talisman can perform a wide range of critical missions such as deploying the Archerfish to locate, identify and neutralize underwater mines.

Designed to operate in littoral waters, Talisman also conducts survey and oceanographic tasks. While Talisman's mission parameters are pre-set before its launch, operator intervention is possible to allow tactical flexibility. Unlike existing unmanned mini-submarines that require separate, dedicated consoles, Talisman's control systems are integrated into the ship saving space and provide a more efficient operational process.

The size of a small car, this mini-submarine was developed using composite carbon fiber components to ensure a light weight and strong body for maximum endurance.
